Terry Flanagan MBE Proud MPG Ambassador
Terry is a former professional rugby league player, who has played at representative level for Great Britain and Lancashire, and at club level for Oldham and Saddleworth Rangers ARLFC. Terry won caps for Great Britain while at Oldham in 1983 against France (2 matches), and in 1984 against New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. He is also an Oldham Hall Of Fame inductee.
Terry’s career includes thirty years in the telecoms industry. He bought, sold and merged companies and in recent times operated as business lead in turnaround situations. Terry is on the Chaiman of Mahadlo, a registered charity and state-of-the-art Youth Zone in the heart of Oldham for 8-19 year olds (up to 25 for young people with a disability). He wants Mahdlo to “develop and create the good people of Oldham’s future!” Terry was also awarded the MBE in 2017, for his work with Rugby Cares and other Charity work. |
